Born in Beirut Lebanon in 1970. I discovered my passion for colorful palette and a blank canvas from an early age. Art helped me deal with the detrimental effects of the Lebanese civil war and in fact most challenges of life there after. I found an oasis in my passion and I have been dwelling in it ever since.
I currently reside and create in the city of Maple, just north of Toronto Canada. I am influenced by the Cubist movement, its shapes, multiple dimensions and collage aesthetics. Most of my paintings display child like imagery and an unrefined technique. My art is constantly evolving as I become more and more experienced in my craft. I have no academic training. I am self taught and I am very proud of it. My canvas is my kingdom and my freedom. It is a world of imagination inspired by the least expected, a playground where the swings never stop, the slides never end and puppies are abundant. I break every rule and I am sorry (not really…)
I try to keep things as simple as possible. Bold shapes and solid colors, I combine them to give life to a painting that is unique and true to myself.
A message and a mind is what I try to assign to my work and I, genuinely, try to keep it as positive and happy as I possibly can. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoy making them...
